Fading a Sports Handicapper

I often wonder how much the practice of buying a handicappers package to fade really goes on. I mean, there are no hard numbers to verify that is goes on, but I know it does occur. And by fade, I mean to bet the opposite of what the service says to play. Now, lets set the record straight when it comes to this form of gambling. A handicappers job is not just to throw a dart at a dartboard and where it lands, that is the play. Far from it for most of us. The work that goes into it may be more for some than others, but from my standpoint it is a 14 hour a day job, that runs 7 days a week. ATS LOCKS is not a corporate mega-giant with huge ad budgets and unlimited resources to drive customer signups. We need to make sure we are right more often than not and deliver a good product (advice) to our existing clients as well as being able to find new customers. So we take this job seriously and when we see, hear or read that this service or that service is a “fade” we take it to heart and want to work even harder. I don’t think the average person has any idea how difficult it can be to pick 4-6 games a Saturday and Sunday during football season. And real soon there will be 6 days a week of football and basketball is right around the corner. Which means a 14 hour day just became 18. So fading a service may seem like the way to go when they are cold, but what about when they win? Do you jump off and bet with them? I don’t know how the average person can keep track of who to fade and bet and still have a normal life, job, wife, kids etc. Most of the forums or message boards I visit beg and clamor for every handicapper under the sun and don’t stop the begging until they get their picks. It is very strange for me to read posts by grown men begging for a million star pick and wondering if they are playing it or fading it. I guess, because I am the ever optimist I have to believe they are playing it. But you sure do have to wonder….
